A HA!! Finally caught him in the act!! Well, I caught at least one of the culprits who kept poking holes in my apples and making them rot!
I was a long way away when I took this picture, so the camera wanted to focus on the branches and leaves in front of the bird, rather than the bird. I took several shots with him, bent over… practically upside down, sticking his bill into the apple, but they did not turn out in focus. Besides, he has a great “busted!” expression on his face in this shot anyway. :)
