Turkeys Lurking

Birds of a Feather | 300mm, f/8.0, 1/1500 sec, ISO 800

I was about 1/2 mile from arriving at my parents’ house this weekend, when I glanced at a field and saw eight turkeys, just ambling along. I turned the car around, got up next to the fence, and zoomed in as far as I could. They were about 100 yards away, so this is the best I could do (not much detail), and could only get six in frame at a time.

Such a pretty bird from a distance, and so ugly close up… and so tasty with gravy.
