Yes, it has more than 400 calories per serving. Yes, it’s chock full of caffeine and sugar. And… YES!!!! The caramel and mocha frappe is DELICIOUS!!! There! I said it!! And I’ll say it again….it’s delicious!!!! Bwah hahahahah!!!!
Yum! My mom can just flat out cook and bake and make one’s mouth do cartwheels of delight with anything that involves food. Besides making my favorite cake (orange-carrot) and homemade candies for Christmas, she made one of her pecan pies for me to bring back home. They are sooo delicious!!
I don’t want to take the chance that I’ll be too full after dinner to have dessert, so I’m eating dessert and drinking coffee first to make sure I get maximum enjoyment. The turkey and ham sandwich that follows will be strictly utilitarian. :)
Not so sure that coffee this time of night is a good idea, but what is pecan pie without coffee (or a glass of cold milk)?! Besides, my sleep schedule is so messed up already, it won’t make that much difference.
Well, who would have thought that I’d actually live to see a white Christmas in the South? When I took this picture, I had only been back in Duluth for about an hour, and the snow was just starting to stick. I hope to get some better pictures tomorrow, assuming it continues to snow!
Some people make fun of lifelong southerners because we get so excited about snow, even if it’s only a little bit. I don’t care! There aren’t many things that make me feel like a kid any more, but snow is one of them. It’s soft and beautiful in its arrival. I love the way it highlights every twig and leaf and blade of grass as it begins to stick and brings out the usually hidden details of the landscape. It makes ordinary objects like my neighbor’s mailbox look practically magical. And what other weather event do most people enjoy playing in?!
So to those who laugh at us, I say, laugh with us!!
Now where did I put my sled….
Nothing much to say about this. Just a fun, colorful pic of one of my favorite parts of preparing for Christmas… wrapping gifts.
Well, okay. I couldn’t find any doves to photograph. Will you settle for half? ;)
Do the hens in the song have to be chickens? I didn’t hear these geese’s accents, but they were very rude and hissed at me, so I’m presuming they might indeed be French. :)
I found Milo all snuggled up in the dog blanket, so of course, I had a to take a photo.
