Delicate H2O

While we’ve definitely had deeper snow so far this winter, I don’t know if there’s been a prettier snow than the one I woke up to this morning. It was enough to cover the ground in most places, but just enough to delicately cover the branches of the trees without making them bend and droop.

I didn’t get up early enough to take photos except on the way in to work. While I was sitting in a traffic jam, I had the time to catch these snow-covered twigs and needles set against the beautiful blue sky, and thought it all looked so fragile and fleeting. Sure enough, by lunch, it was all gone.
