About Face

I drove quite a bit out of my way after work, looking for something to take a photo of, and found nothing interesting.

When I got home, I decided to look around my own front door and came across this wind chime that I’ve had for many years. A friend who used to live across the street from me in Birmingham gave it to me for some occasion that I can’t remember. I’ve always loved its “Mona LIsa-like” copper face with its half smile.

Where it is now, it rests against the wall, so the chimes don’t really sound, but that’s okay, because to me, its purpose is to greet people who come to my door.
