Right after I took this picture, I pulled my car out into the road and escorted the little goose family across at our office park this afternoon. The mom and dad are so oblivious to the danger they and their little ones are in. They take a path from the lake behind our building to the large grassy area across the road. Unfortunately, their path crosses the worst curve in the road, and cars come flying through very fast sometimes. If they ever are in the middle of the road, I’m afraid they won’t make it.
But at least for tonight, under the watchful eye of crossing-guard-Cheryl, they made it to the other side.
