Corny, Cornier, Corniest

Somewhere around Evansville, IN, I took this photo of a farm house out in the middle of a cornfield. It was a very common site, but I got this one only when we were stopped at a rest area.

What’s interesting is that I wanted to get a wide angle shot of how isolated this house was in the middle of the expansive field; however, when I looked at the wide angle image, the house was sooo small, it hardly appeared to be more than a speck. I wanted a more bucolic scene, so I zoomed in a bit.

Notice the trees around the house. Every house/farm we saw had trees surrounding them as wind breaks. It was interesting to see a house here and there on the wide, open plans, and always, a circle of trees around them. Smart folks out there. :)

Details.
