Black Pearls

Another photo from the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. This is the first time (that I can recall) that I’ve ever seen a black-leafed plant. It’s a Black Pearl Ornamental Pepper, and its leaves really are that black, and its berries are really that red and that black. I have not changed their color in any way. I did desaturate the red berries in the background to better emphasize the ones in the foreground.

Nothing in particular to say about these. I just thought they were beautiful and odd looking. And in case you think these aren’t real, here’s some more info on them.
