Don’t Breathe

Waiting to wreak havoc on my yard

I just love how fragile and delicate the dandelion is (and what a great phonetic name… Dandy Lion). When I was a kid, I would try so hard to blow off all the seeds in one breath, but I don’t think I ever succeeded. My sister told me I would get my wish if I could do it. Anyone else ever hear that?

Not having my camera with me until late today didn’t give me many options to shoot, but at least there was enough light left to get this shot. It’s such a perfect orb when all of the little “parashoots” are in place. I know they’re horrible plants for a lawn, but I like them anyway. :)
